Macomb Township is located in the center of Macomb County, Michigan. As of the 202 Census, Macomb Township is the most populated civil township in the state!
The area offers beautiful residential neighborhoods with many large homes and new construction. This is the perfect area for growing families as it features a state-of-the-art Recreation Center, many parks, six ball diamonds, seven soccer fields, two sand volleyball courts, an inline skating rink, and playscapes. Everyone can enjoy the mile-long walking paths and four public golf courses. Public schools in the area include Chippewa Valley Schools, L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, New Haven Community Schools, and Utica Community Schools. There are also many private and parochial school available.
Macomb’s origins were that of a flat and fertile farmland and it also served as a large part of the lumber and logging industry. Macomb Township experienced a boom of growth in the early 2000s, increasing population at nearly 48%. Not only is it a wonderful place for families but boasts a corridor of industrial and commercial activity.
Macomb is a stable community in the heart of the county with great access to major expressways leading to downtown Detroit, Mount Clemens, and Lake St. Clair.
