Welcome to the Pointes
Grosse Pointe is comprised of five cities – Grosse Pointe City, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, Grosse Pointe Woods, and Grosse Pointe Shores.
Located in Southeastern Michigan, the Grosse Pointe area is bordered by Detroit, Harper Woods and St. Clair Shores. This picturesque community is only minutes from downtown Detroit.
Each city has its own waterfront park with a marina and other amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts and picnic areas. There are several retail districts located in the pointes which offer shopping, dining and services from both national brands and unique independent spots.
Grosse Pointe is home to the Grosse Pointe Public School System, many private and parochial schools, and an exceptional library system with three branches. The pointes also boast three top-rated hospitals, two golf courses, and three yacht clubs.
Some of the most historic attractions in metro Detroit are located in this area; the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House, the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, and the Country Club of Detroit.
